A couple of GREAT grocery deals!

I have been noticing some AWESOME grocery deals this week!
For one, Food Lion currently has ALL laundry detergent on a B1G1 sale! Use the $2 coupon in this past Sunday's paper and get two for about $3! That's only $1.50 each!

They also currently have their taco seasoned ground turkey for $4.49! If you go in using your $5 Jennie-O coupon, you can use the remaining .50 cents on something else! What a deal! I was able to grab a candy bar for free!

Also, Kroger has Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers on sale this week for .99 cents per pkg! These are normally $2, so this is great deal!

What a sweet book!

Photobucket
I LOVE being a Thomas Nelson book reviewer! This is the first book I received to review and it
was just such a joy to read to my son!
The name of this book is "The I Believe Bunny".
The quality of the book is top notch! Very sturdy!
I love that in the beginning, the book starts off with a Bible verse that is pertinent to the story your about to read.
In this book, the I Believe Bunny finds a small mouse caught in a river and asks for God's help in giving him the strength and courage to rescue the mouse from the river.
I'm not going to give the story away...you are going to have to out and purchase one for yourself to find out what happens :)
For a mere price of $9.99, it's definitely worth it! I'm going to be buying other books in this series!
The book has a "Cat in the Hat" feel to it when you are reading it. I guess that is because the author currently also writes for current Dr. Suess books! That is what I call genious!
Go out and pick up your copy today!

Favorite Things Friday!

Sorry for my "MIA" status this week! It's just been one of those weeks! I'm glad it's over and I'm ready to make up for lost time!
Here are a few of my recent favorite things!

Photobucket
I used my BURTS BEES coupon on this and I am SOoooo addicted to this stuff! Since it's medicated, it makes your lips a little cool! They put pure clove oil in it to give your lips that cooling sensation. I absolutely LOVE The smell of cloves, so it's a double bonus for me! And it was free!
Photobucket
Since my daughter has a summer choc-ful-o camps, I bought Avon's Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus! I know she won't "thoroughly" put on sunscreen or bug spray without my presence, so this is the next best thing! Since it's an aerosol, it spreads on very easily, all over! It's super cheap when you compare apples to apples with name brands that you see in the grocery and drug stores. Want some? Visit my friend Sani's website and order yours today! Click HERE to get to her website!

Photobucket
I always see this stuff in the stores, but just kind of pass it by and opt for a cheaper brand that I have a coupon for. Well, I recieved a sample of it in the mail a few days ago and fell in love! It really makes my hair shinier and more manageable! I know that other bloggers are posting about the Walgreens Buy 3 for $15, and get register rewards, but I feel like my deal is better and it costs less!
At Walgreens right now, they have a "travel pack" of John Frieda hair products (shampoo, conditioner and conditioning spray). They come in a box set and are located directly next to the regular size John Frieda shampoo in the hair care isle. The sets are normally about $6, but are on clearance for $2.16! Better yet, if you peek inside the box before you check out, there is a coupon you can pull out that is $3 off 2 John Frieda products! You can get the box sets for just $1 each! Perfect for summertime and traveling! Cha-ching!

$90 Vera Bradley for $22.50!

What a great deal!
Head on over to Vera Bradley asap because they are having a great sale!
This purse is originally $90, but it is currently on SALE for $25! To make the deal even sweeter, use code SS5N38MG2 and save an additional 10% off your order!
It's definitely NEVER to early to start thinking about Christmas!
This purse is available in three different colors at this price!
My fave is "Frankly Scarlet", but you can also get it in "Night Owl" or "Riviera Blue" (which is the one pictured!

Kids Meal Deals in Richmond

NBC 12 here in Richmond recently published an interesting article on what restaurants there are locally where kids eat free. I posted it below for your viewing pleasure.

This got me to thinking, however, what other restaurants in the area offer kids eat free specials.

I found THIS website and it is good for any area, anywhere. You just type in your zip code and it will bring up the restaurants in your area where kids eat FREE!!!

In these tough economic times, a night out at a restaurant with the family is something many people skip these days. But the Richmond areas has dozens of local restaurants that offer kids eat free nights to help make the trip less expensive.

Our local champion is Spinnaker's Restaurant in Midlothian -- home of the flowerpot bread.

"The owner of the restaurant was big about children and is a big family man," said manager Jeremy Krebs. "He just wanted to go that aspect of it and do something nice for the community."

Kids 12 and under can eat free all day Mondays through Thursdays from the kid's menu at their Chesterfield Towne Center location -- a deal that Spinnaker's has offered for 20 years.

"Children are the diners of the future," Krebs said. "I have several friends who I met here through the restaurant who remember coming here when they were 6, 7, 8 years old.

"You know we've been here for 22 years. They still come in to this day -- that a good reason to keep it going."

Home of the famous bathtub salad bar, The Fan District's ever-popular Strawberry Street Café is the place for kids to go for free eats -- Wednesdays, after 5 p.m.

The restaurant has offered the kid's night special for about two years, said chef and owner Ron Joseph.

"We saw the downturn in the economy, we figured we'd try and offer families a way to get out of the house without a lot of money," Joseph said. "I've got two kids, so I know how important it is."

Another local favorite, River City Diner has two locations that offer Kids Eat Free night -- in the North Side at Parham and Interstate 95 and at the Shops at Bellgrade in Chesterfield.

"The parents like it because they get to come out a little bit cheaper, the kids are kind of occupied," said Jeff Fisher, manager at the Parham River City Diner.

Every Wednesday night, 5 p.m. until closing, two children under 12 can order free from the kid's menu with every adult entrée. Kids can enjoy the retro atmosphere, breakfast served all day and delectable items from the desert menu.

Sorry for my tardiness! I was so caught up yesterday with the last day of school festivities I forgot to post my Favorite Things Friday!

Whatsfordin-din - I am constantly going to this site. A bunch of my friends are all authors for this site and they share recipes that are tried and true! A lot of them even have pictures, too! Some of my favorites on there are: Bang Bang Shrimp, Easy Chicken Marsala, White Chili, Corn Bread, Chicken Pot Pie and many, many more! These are a great bunch of Southern gals with some recipes worth trying and adding to your recipe box! www.whatsfordin-din.blogspot.com

TipJunkie - Now that it is summertime, I am ready for some serious crafting! I absolutely love arts and crafts. The problem is, I have a hard time coming up with something unique and new all on my own. That is when I visit this site! Eaaaasssssyy Money......

I know there are a lot of various "survey" programs out there and such. To be honest, with two kids, a part-time job, volunteer duties...etc. I don't have time to take surveys all day long!
There is this really great program calls "Inbox Dollars". They send you emails and ALL YOU HAVE TO DO OPEN THEM! How great is that? No survey or anything! Depending on the email, mine vary from just a few cents to $1 per email and I get about 5-6 emails a day!
When your total reaches $30, they send you a check in the mail!
This is not a scam or some program to put "Spam" in your box. This is Bargain Noble tested and approved!
Of course, if you want to do surveys, you can and they will pay you. The choice is totally yours.
Right now, for fans of Bargain Noble, you can sign up and automatically earn $5, just for signing up!
Click the banner below to start earning EASY money today :)

Gevalia coffee deal.....

Ok. I've heard ALL about the various Gevalia coffee deals, so I found one that works for me and I'm going to give it a go!
Use code 401575 - For $5 (INCLUDES SHIPPING), you will get two boxes of fresh ground or whole bean, Gevalia coffee (I chose Breakfast Blend and their Signature Blend). You will also get a brand new 12-cup Gevalia coffee maker! All for just $5, shipped!

Once your order is processed you will be automatically enrolled in Gevalia shipments. This isn't a big deal, though, since after your order arrives you can cancel with no further obligation... meaning you will NOT ever be billed again or sent anything more! After you receive your 1st shipment just make sure to call this number-1-800-438-2542 and cancel. That's it! If you're a coffee lover, like me, then you'll definitely want to get in on this great buy!
Might I also mention, you do NOT have to enter any credit card information, either. Just choose to be billed and make sure you cancel after you receive your shipment and send them a check for $5!

Click HERE and enter the code 401575!

Restaurant.com $25 gift certificates for $2. Again.

Does anyone ever even pay full price for these things anymore?? Not that I'm complaining, but they should just set the price for these gift certificates for $2 on their website! Seriously!

I ended up buying a couple of "gift certificates" to the website a while ago (bought (2) $25 gift certificate for $2 each) and then on the first of the month, I go in and redeem my gift certificates to get a $25 Casa Grande gift certificate and only paid $2 for it! Now, I do need to spend $35 in order to get my $25 off, but still........a GREAT deal!

The site replenishes their stock on the 1st of the month, so if your restaurant is currently sold out, just buy a gift certificate to the site and wait until the first of July. Totally worth it.
The code to use right now is "PRESENT" - I'm not sure when it expires, so hurry, hurry, hurry!
Head on over to Restaurant.com today!

JCPenney- St. John's Bay wheeled duffle bag-$10!

These bags are sooooo awesome! They are regularly priced at $80, but right now they are on clearance:
22' wheeled duffle is $19.99
32' wheeled duffle is $26.99

Upon check-out, use code GR8DAD, and get an additional $10 off, making your 22' wheeled duffle a mere $10! That's $70 in savings! Insane!
Shipping is $5.95 to your home or you may ship to your local store for $4.50.
If you want one, hurry, hurry, hurry! The yellow one is almost gone!
Click HERE to order yours today!

Old Navy - My turn! Woohoo!

Old Navy was supposed to reset last night. I stayed up until 12:10am and then called it a night. I didn't think anything about it until I got up this morning at 7:30am. I thought, well...let me just check the site to see what it looks like. Loe and behold...the site still hadn't reset!
It finally did reset at 8am and I was able to grab one of the $50 off of $100 coupons! I guess my hubby will have a nice Fathers Day present after all! Lol!
To recap, here are the coupon locations on Oldnavyweekly.com:

$75 off $100Drag marshmallow from the stick and place it on the fishing hook, then wait for the fish to pop up in the background and catch him by clicking on the fishing pole.

$50 off $100Wait for the fish to pop up in the background and catch him by clicking on the hook (not the fishing pole).

$20 off $100Scratch the s'more on the girls t-shirt who is standing by the dog. This takes a little while. Just stick with it and go side to side and then a little puff of smoke will appear...and then your coupon!

$15 off $75Watch the movie and click on Heather's Leg in the dumpster.

$5 off $50Click on the girls pink flashlight.

Also, there is some speculation that the site will reset again on Thursday because all of the coupons and the deals listed on the site expire on Thursday. I guess we'll see. I won't be holding my breath!
As always, I will put any updates on Bargain Noble!

Old Navy Drama

Well, I was REALLY hoping Old Navy would go back to their old ways of resetting their coupons to Thursdays, but it looks like it's going to be on Sundays from here on out.
If you missed the drama last week, Old Navy said they would reset their coupons on Sunday. Little did we all know, they reset them at 11:59pm on Sunday. So wrong!

Anyhow, here is a bit of new information for this Sunday's coupon grab:

Alright, it’s time to let your friends in on the fabulous secret that is OldNavyWeekly.com. So this week, in addition to hiding that beloved $75 off $100 coupon again, we’re adding the ability to share a coupon with a friend through Facebook. You can keep one for yourself and share one with a pal each week…so choose wisely and give generously!

You won’t believe the kind of savings you can find at OldNavyWeekly.com. The amount you can save depends on how good of a coupon hunter you are, and a bit of luck. Head to the site and start clicking around to uncover valuable store coupons. You might just grab the day’s big find!

Macy's Coupons

Ugh...I am still bummed about K-Mart, but here are some coupons that will hopefully cheer you up!
macys
Macy's is offering up some really good deals lately! They have clearance'd out a ton of items throughout the store to make these coupons that much sweeter!
They are:
$10 off $50
$15 off $75
$25 off $100

Click HERE to get your coupons! Happy shopping! (Note, these coupons are only valid in the Southeast region) if you are located elsewhere, please see below for your coupons:

Negative on the K-Mart Doubles.....

Sorry, guys......I knew it! I knew that lady on the phone was wrong!
I just looked at the K-Mart circular online for next week and there is NOTHING in there about them doubling coupons! I seriously don't understand why Richmond (or any K-Mart in Virginia for that matter) no longer participates in double coupons! Is it so much to ask for our K-Marts to double coupons at least two times a year??!! There are tons of K-Marts out there that super double coupons just about every other week!

If we were doubling coupons here, it would look like this:

But, alas, our circular looks like this:

Need a place for your team party?

SKATE NATION IS THE WAY TO GO!
For the first time ever, I am the team mom for my daughter's softball team. For our team parties, the team mom has always just had us meet somewhere and each pay own for the meals.
Well, I thought--wouldn't it be a great idea to get the party sponsored and use the money that normally would be spent on food on a nice gift for the coach?
Loe and behold, I present to you Richmonder's--SKATENATION!
They will host just about any team party for FREE! This includes the table, 3 pizza's, 3 pitchers of soda! The gigantic bowls of popcorn are only $1 each, too! Then, afterwards, the kids can run around and play arcade games, climb the rock wall, laser tag....etc. Now, they will need to pay for those things, but the food and drinks are complimentary! What a great partner for our community!
Here is what it states on their website:
FREE SPORTS TEAM PARTIES!
SkateNation Plus announces that they will be offering a limited number of FREE team parties for area youth sports teams. Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Track, it doesn't matter what sport your team plays, as long as it is registered with a recognized area youth organization you can have a FREE team party at SkateNation Plus. Click here for all of the details and information!

Free HEB T-shirtIf your kids reads 10 books, they get a free HEB shirt. Go here for more details.

Also, I know I had posted the Apple iPod camp on here previously, but as it seems, the camps are currently full here in Richmond :(
