More Freebies!

I am just so amazed at all of the free things we can do with our children this summer!
This Saturday is free ice cream day at Friendly's!
~Thanks Rebecca!!

Also, if your kids love to read (or even if they don't, this would be a great way to get them to start!), below are a list of very rewarding summer reading programs! My personal fave is the HEB deal!

Barnes and Noble Reading Program = Free BooksBarnes & Noble has a summer reading program for kids in grades 1 through 6. If they read 8 books, they can get a free book.

Borders and Waldenbooks are offering summer reading deals, too, though not free. During the Kids Reading Challenge, if kids ages 12 & under read 8 books and fill out a form, they can redeem it to buy one selected item for $4.99.

Free HEB T-shirtIf your kids reads 10 books, they get a free HEB shirt. Go here for more details.

Also, I know I had posted the Apple iPod camp on here previously, but as it seems, the camps are currently full here in Richmond :(

Don't fret! There are still a few other free camps your kids can participate in:

Bass Pro Shops Free Summer Camp for KidsEvery Saturday and Sunday from noon-6pm May 30-July5th Bass Pro Shops offers a free craft activity! For more info click here.

Home Depot Free How-to ClinicsThese workshops for kids are available on the first Saturday of every month between 9 am and 12 noon at all Home Depots. Go here to find out about upcoming workshops.
